Suburban Bungalow 2

This 1952 bungalow was tired and in need of an update.

With three small bedrooms and only one tiny bathroom it was outdated. Worst was that the powder room as only accessible through the kitchen.

The main part of the brief was to create a master ensuite comprising of the master bedroom, a dressing room and a bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower.

The Interior was pretty well gutted, reorganized and brought up to date. The two very small bedrooms on the main floor were removed to create the Master suite.

The kitchen was opened up to the dining room and a series of glass sliding doors expand the space and connect the interiors with the garden

We updated the interiors with new doors, floors and mouldings, and created a custom mantle for the new gas fireplace.

As there is no basement, part of the brief was to expand the upper floor area to include a bathroom, bedroom and a family room with a home office tucked into a corner.

The powder room is now accessible from the hall, not the kitchen.
